πŸš‚ πŸ“‹ Oct 2026 Operations Meet

With flag in hand, a passenger train departs from Littlefield Jct.

On Saturday, October 24, the PV&A Railroad held its first Operations Meet. The day began at 9 AM at the Station House, where Ed Sarber, who directed the meet, talked everyone through how operations work: the paperwork, the industries, and the crews’ jobs. Then the crews took their trains and their switch lists out on the railroad, picking up freight cars and delivering them to industries along the line.

Crews came back to the Station House for lunch to compare notes and plan the afternoon's moves. Operations continued on Sunday.

Thank you to Ed for planning the industries, the paperwork, the trains, and the training, and to everyone who came out to crew. New to Ops Meets? Read About Ops Meets.
